We disconnect and remove the vanity, toilet, shower screen, bath and tapware, then strip wall and floor tiles back to the substrate. Old tile bedding, screed and waterproofing membranes come out too, so your waterproofer and tiler start on a true, level surface. Where the floor needs it, we grind the concrete substrate flat, and we clear all debris and rubbish as we go.

What affects the cost of a bathroom demolition

Bathroom strip out pricing depends on the room and the access, not a flat rate. The main factors:

• The size of the bathroom and how much wall and floor tiling there is
• Whether the floor substrate needs grinding after tile removal
• Access: ground floor, an upper storey, or an apartment with lift restrictions
• Whether wall and ceiling linings are being removed as well
